The Pennsylvania National Guard Association (PNGAS) mobilized the PNGAS Veterans Action Council (VAC) to jumpstart initiatives for the Commonwealth’s 620,000 veterans, their spouses, and families.
The Big 3 initiatives for the PNGAS VAC include,
1. Prioritize and advance the PNGAS Pennsylvania Veteran’s Legislative Agenda
2. Get at least 24-veterans engaged with PNGAS and PNGAS priority-initiatives; like, The PNGAS Jobs Board, PNGAS Guard Friendly Schools and/or PNGAS Legislative Agenda for Veterans. Expand the positive impacts.
3. Develop and Launch a 12-month marketing campaign, “Helping Veterans Get the Benefits They Earned”.
The VAC is focused on getting more Veteran Friendly Jobs and career paths readily available to veterans, Guard members and their military families.
More than ever, with COVID-19, we need Pennsylvania to have the best professional license reciprocity and military credentialing in the nation!
We encourage veterans to help us accomplish our Action items.
The PNGAS VAC will prioritize and advance legislation helping veterans; facilitate initiatives with the Department of Military and Veteran’s Affairs (DMVA) to help connect veterans to a broad range of services available at the local and state level; support communications between local/state veteran’s programs and DMVA to reduce overlap and develop synergies. The PNGAS VAC will optimize personal outreach, communications, and social media to strengthen results for individual veterans.
The PNGAS VAC will be chaired by Brigadier General (Retired) Gerald E. Otterbein who brings a wealth of knowledge in military leadership and organizational development.
