    Another 13 colleges and universities have earned the designation PNGAS Guard-Friendly School, designed to recognize colleges, universities and trade schools which meet or exceed ten (10) baseline criteria that create a supportive learning environment to assist members of the Pennsylvania Guard and their families.

  • PNGAS Guard-Friendly Employer Designation

    Applications are now live for employers to earn the designation "PNGAS Guard-Friendly Employer" and develop best practices to raise awareness of the challenges faced by members of the Guard and their families, as well as the extraordinary efforts many employers make on behalf of the Guard, its members, and the Commonwealth.

    Gov. Tom Wolf recognized the sacrifices made by members of the PA National Guard during recent responses to weather and COVID-19 emergencies.

  • 2020 CTU Patriot Scholarship Program

    CTU makes it possible for those serving in the U.S. Armed Forces—along with their families and caregivers—to earn a university degree anywhere, anytime. Scholarship recipients have the option to complete an associate, bachelor’s, master’s, or doctoral degree program online or at one of CTU’s campuses in Colorado Springs or Aurora.

The Pennsylvania National Guard Associations (“PNGAS”) is the only organization solely dedicated to the nearly 20,000 members and more than 67,000 veterans of the Pennsylvania National Guard and their families. The PNGAS mission is to help ensure the Pennsylvania National Guard is fully funded, manned, equipped, and trained to perform their federal and state missions and that members and veterans have the benefits they have earned.

Supporting Our Mission

All PNGAS activities are done with one goal in mind: Protecting the Pennsylvania National Guard and ensuring they are fully funded, manned, equipped, and trained to perform their federal and state missions; and that members and veterans have the benefits they have earned. Veteran’s Action Council

The PNGAS VAC prioritizes and advances legislation helping veterans; facilitates initiatives with the Department of Military and Veteran’s Affairs (DMVA) to help connect veterans to a broad range of services available at the local and state level; supports communications between local/state veteran’s programs and DMVA to reduce overlap and develop synergies.

Guardsman To Guardsman Program (G2G)

G2G offers a grant of up to $500 for Pennsylvania National Guard members and their families who show a qualifying need.

To apply for the program, simply, contact your Family Assistance Center or Airmen/Family Program Managers. The approval authority for all grants rests with the State Family Program Director.

The Pennsylvania National Guard Associations (PNGAS) mobilized the PNGAS Jobs Board to help Guard members, veterans, their spouses, and families get good, Guard Friendly Jobs. The Jobs Board and all PNGAS programs are fully funded by corporate, foundation, and citizen donations – no taxpayer funds are used to support PNGAS.
